Modest hopping and cool fermentation temperatures make for a smooth character and a clean finish. | 4.8% alc. by vol.

  • Rich, roasty, and loaded with chocolate and coffee flavors, this sweet black ale is robust and full bodied. This beer is an excellent pair to any meal, especially meat dishes and desserts. • In the image of an English IPA, Legend Golden is a big, full-bodied brew with the perfect balance between malty sweetness and hop bitterness. Years ago, as an experimental brew, this underdog of a beer found its way into the hearts of Legend patrons and became a cult classic in Richmond. This strong ale sports a rich gold color, an aroma of sweet malt and clean hops, and an earthy, fruity flavor. | 7.6% alc. by vol.
  • Our American style Pale Ale is a hop lover's dream. We craft this copper colored ale to supply a moderate bitterness and an aggressive hop flavor and aroma. Judicious amounts of four specialty malts add counter and depth. Expect a medium bodied brew with an assertive, complex flavor and a dry finish. | 5.5% alc. by vol.

  • The newest addition to our year round line, Legend Hopfest begins with a sturdy barley malt background including Munich and aromatic malts, as well as a few medium kilned malts producing a rich , deep orange colored beer. Step two, the hops: Hopfest sports a distinct piney and fruity aroma. Expect a toasty, earthy malt-forward brew, with bitter flavor lasting throughout. The end result is a full flavored IPA with a strong malt backbone and long satisfying hop finish. | 6.4% alc. by vol.

Seasonal Beers

  • Our Hefeweizen is mashed with 50/50 wheat and barley malt. The wheat is responsible for the crisp and light body. Noble hops are used minimally for balance and spice. Expect an intense aroma of fruit (banana, apricot) and spice (clove, pepper). The initial flavor is crisp and tart, yielding to a malty sweetness. The finish is effervescent and quenching. Legend Hefeweizen pairs well with salads, seafood, and grilled meats. | Summer Seasonal, 5.5% alc by vol.
  • Legend Maibock is a golden spring lager, and while being extraordinarily flavorful, is very true to its heritage. The berry esters come to the forefront as of every sip. Expect sweet malt overtones with a mild balance of hops that finishes dry. This brew is very appropriate for spring weather, quenching, and keeps you wanting more. | Spring Seasonal, 7.4% alc. by vol.
  • To celebrate our 20th Anniversary and pay tribute to our Brown Ale, we brewed a bolder and robust version of the Legend Brown. The imperial version has an even fuller body, stronger malt flavors, and an added hop character. Seven types of barley malt yield a deep, rich body evoking biscuit, caramel, chocolate and coffee flavors. Our house ale yeast adds a level of fruity esters, and a moderate hop bite combines with alcohol warmth for a balanced finish. | 20th Anniversary Ale, 8.3% alc by vol.

  • Legend Barleywine is generously hopped to balance the huge malty sweetness. Hops account for the bitter and spicy flavors in a beer. We also dry hopped this ale, giving it a pronounced spiced-floral aroma. Expect a very rich, ruby colored, robust beer with an attitude. Tastes reminiscent of caramel, chocolate, dried fruit (prunes, raisins) are evident at first, followed by hints of licorice and pine. On the finish you'll be pleasantly whelmed by warming alcohol. | Tap Room Specialty Series, 15% alc. by vol.
  • Legend's brewers are very proud to bring you our latest seasonal offering. Originally a small batch, limited-release beer, Belgian Quad has now found a seat as an annual release. Legend Quad was first brewed in honor of our 15th Anniversary, and we believe it is deserving of more exposure in the market. Expect a full body, with flavors of dark fruits like plums, prunes, and raisins. | Specialty Tap Room Series, 15% alc. by vol.
  • This collaborative beer is a tribute to one of Williamburg's best kept secrets: the Crim Dell Bridge. Located on the campus of the College of William & Mary, it is one of the most storied and romantic places in the area. Legend has it, if two lovers kiss at the crest of this beautiful bridge, they are fated to be together forever. However, if the relationship sours at any point thereafter, the lady must throw her ex-lover from the bridge. It is also rumored that if an unfortunate soul passes over the bridge alone, he or she will be destined for eternal loneliness. Enjoy this Belgian-style Dubbel with your favorite person or pair it with a nice washed-rind cheese. | Urban Legend Series, 7.4% alc by vol

This is best served with friends and pairs well with mild cheeses, roasted pork, and even Thai food. | Specialty Tap Room Series, 8.7% alc. by vol.
